FAQs

Answers for all your massage questions.

F.A.Q.

Our goal is for you to be as comfortable and relaxed as possible. If you have any additional questions don’t hesitate to contact us.

Must I be completely undressed?
You should undress to your desired level of comfort. About half of our clients prefer to be completely undressed, while the other half prefers to keep their undergarments on. This is completely up to you. You will undress and dress in the privacy of your massage therapist’s room and will be securely covered by a sheet and blanket.
What is included in the session time?
Unlike many other chain stores or salons, we give our clients a full 60 minute massage from start to finish. We ask that all of our clients arrive 10 minutes early so that we can speak with them a few minutes before their appointment time and discuss their needs for that particular session. We will then begin the session at the appointment time and end within 60 minutes or 90 minutes, depending on which massage is selected.
How often should I receive a massage?
For those who use massage as preventative care or to manage daily stress, one massage a month is common. Weekly sessions may be desirable if you are receiving massage for injury relief or to relieve chronic tightness that is interfering with your daily life. There are many people who incorporate massage therapy at least twice a month for optimal therapeutic relief.
How much should I tip?
Gratuity is never expected but always greatly appreciated. If you feel like your therapist did a great job, feel free to express your gratitude by either rebooking or leaving them a gratuity in a monetary form.
Will I be covered during a session?
You will be properly covered or draped at all times to keep you warm and comfortable. Only the area being worked on will be exposed. No areas will be exposed without your consent. You should always let your therapist know if you are uncomfortable for any reason during your massage.
What does a massage therapist license or certificate mean?
A license means that a massage therapist has met the requirements and paid the fee to legally practice massage in our state. To obtain a license, a massage therapist must complete a minimum number of training hours at an accredited or accepted school or training center, pass a standardized test, apply to the state for a health license and have to undergo a full background check prior to receiving that license.
